General Description
Route: Linear route that travels along common paths marked with yellow dots, GR and GRP paths. We'll start from the center of the village of Arinsal. Observations: The route initially goes through paths within the forest, passing by typical Andorran bordes (Bordes de Percanela, Borda del Torner, and Bordes de Prats Nous), with a second part of the route going through more alpine terrain. We begin the route at the center of the village of Arinsal, where we will find a water fountain; after that, we won't find another one along the way. There is an option to slightly divert the route and pass by the Refuge de les Fonts, where we will find a water fountain. Ascent: We'll leave from the center of the village of Arinsal, climbing up the street La Grella which will lead us to the start of the path to Percanela, marked with yellow dots. We'll keep climbing until we reach the Bordes de Percanela and a bit further, the Bordes de Prats Nous. Here, we will turn right onto the path of Clot del Cavall, where we will again pass through a forested area; this path will take us through quite steep zones. Once we come out of this ascent, we will face the last section remaining through open alpine terrain up to the pass. Descent: We will follow the same path we took to ascend, which will take us back to where we started the route at the center of the village of Arinsal. Once we arrive, we have many options to grab a refreshment or enjoy a nice meal at the village's restaurants.
