Refuge of Pla de l'Estany

Route: Linear route that travels along different paths (GR11 and communal paths marked with a yellow dot). The paths are well marked and the route goes through relatively uncomplicated terrain. Observations: We will find a water source at the Pla de l'Estany refuge. Be cautious when at altitude and with no vegetation; in summer the heat and solar radiation can be strong or very strong, so it's important to protect yourself. Ascent: We will leave from the Comapedrosa parking lot and take the forest track in its first stretch; as we reach the barrier, we will turn right onto the path to Pla de l'Estany, which will lead us through the forest until we reach the bordes of Coruvilla. Here, we will go back on the forest track and will not leave it until we arrive at the Pla de l'Estany, where we will get fantastic views of the area, whether looking towards the walls of Port Dret or towards the bottom of the valley. The area we will walk on now is soft and we may end up with muddy feet. In a few meters, we will arrive at the Refugio del Pla de l'Estany where we will find its water source. Descent: On the way down, we will follow the same path as we took up; we can also choose the alternative of passing through the rec de l'Areny and then descending the entire forest track until we reach the parking lot.
