General Description
Route: Linear route that traverses different paths (GR11 and communal paths marked with a yellow dot). The paths are well marked except for the last stretch on the ridge of the peak, which is not marked and is quite an airy section. Route through terrain without complications except for the last ridge section, where we must pay attention to the steps; the section climbing to the Collada de Comallempla and the peak are very little-trafficked areas. Observations: Once we pass the Comapedrosa Refuge, we will find no water throughout the route. Be cautious when at altitude and without vegetation; in summer, the heat and solar radiation can be strong or very strong, so protection is necessary. Ascent: We will leave from the Comapedrosa parking lot and head towards the Comapedrosa Refuge first along a communal path and then take the GR11 (white and red mark). Once at the Comapedrosa Refuge, we will head towards the Collada de Comallempla passing in front of the Estany de les Truites; the ascent to the collada is not very long and has a moderate slope. To tackle the last ridge section towards the peak, we will go through a more complex, technical, alpine, and unmarked terrain; we must proceed with caution as there are quite airy sections; from the peak, we will have views of almost the entire natural park. (Alt de Comapedrosa, Pic de Sanfons, Pic del Pla de l'Estany, Pic de les Fonts) Descent: On the way down, we will follow the same path as the ascent.
