General Description
The Carboneres Path, the new access to the Comapedrosa Natural Park If you go hiking in the Comapedrosa Natural Park, you will pass through the new Carboneres Path. In fact, it is not new, but rather restored, as many years ago this area was used for making charcoal from the wood that was cut there. The path starts from the Pollós River and takes us to Aigüesjuntes through three footbridges. From there we can head towards the Comapedrosa Valley or take the trail to Pla de l’Estany. Throughout the journey, in a spectacular natural setting, we are accompanied by the river. The forest track will only be used from now on by service vehicles. Have you ever seen a charcoal pit? You will soon see one. An interpretative charcoal pit is being prepared so that everyone can learn about the ancient technique of making charcoal.
