Tempesta en una tassa de te
General Description
Once you pass the Coll de la Botella, and at an altitude of 2115 meters, we find a unique sculpture at the roadside called "Tempesta en una tassa de te". Built in 1991 to commemorate the 25th anniversary of the Caixa Andorrana de Seguretat Social, it is a work by the American artist Dennis Oppenheim. It is a magnificent 13-meter diameter aluminum sculpture that symbolizes the magic hidden among the forces of nature. The structure also inverts the logic of problems and highlights that within the large scale in which the sculpture is located, a large problem in a small context becomes a small problem within a larger context. It is worth a visit for the spectacular landscape. In summer, you can park right at the foot of the sculpture. In winter, the area is closed due to snow, and you must leave the vehicle in the parking area of the ski resort and take a short walk.
