Event information
Born in Paris in November 1948, Philippe Luguy is a self-taught artist. At the age of 18, he met Bonnet, Pellos and Godard, who gave him advice and encouragement. After publishing some illustrations, he worked for small-format magazines and several newspapers. In 1974, he created Sylvio le Grillon in the newspaper Pif. His first album was published in 1977.
He then participated in the series Albator (5 albums) with Le Guen, Gaty, Deynis and Lenvers. In 1980, Luguy also worked for French television, and the following year, he created Percevan in the newspaper Gomme, with a script by Fauche and Léturgie.
Philippe Luguy’s agile and lively lines and his meticulous and carefully crafted backgrounds guaranteed the success of this first major French incursion into the field of medieval heroic fantasy. Percevan is a young knight who lives in a medieval world full of magic, adventure, love and humor. Accompanied by the troubadour Kervin, he gets involved in all sorts of mischief.
