On January 17, La Massana will experience one of the most emblematic festivals on the calendar: the celebration of Sant Antoni, patron saint of the parish. As every year, the day will combine tradition, gastronomy and solidarity.
The festival will begin with Mass in Sant Antoni de la Grella at 11:00 a.m., with the participation of the Sant Antoni Choir.
Get around with the free Clipol: departure at 10:30 a.m. from the Centre de la Vila stop. The return will be at 12:00 p.m.
The celebration will then move to Plaça de l’Església, which will be the stage for the popular festival.
At 12:00 p.m. the traditional Encants populars will take place with a performance by the Esbart Valls del Nord.
The central event will be, at 1:00 p.m., the great popular escudella with traditional music from the Pyrenees.
The team of volunteers and renowned chefs will serve hundreds of servings of escudella.
To ensure comfort, the covered patio of the French school, adjacent to the Plaça de l'Església, will be set up so that everyone can enjoy the escudella without worrying about the weather. You can also choose to take the escudella with you in a lunchbox.
