La Massana, under an exceptional sky
La Massana has one of the darkest skies in southern Europe, ideal for astronomical observation. On January 10, 2023, the parish received the double Starlight certification as a Tourist Destination and Starlight Reserve, especially highlighting the Andorra Comapedrosa area.
This international recognition guarantees the quality of the sky, free of light pollution, and promotes astrotourism as one of the great attractions of the territory.
To celebrate International Tourism Day, next Saturday, September 27, you can enjoy a free guided observation of the sky with the naked eye, an activity designed to discover the wonders of our dark sky. In addition, you can visit the church of Sant Cristòfol d’Anyós, an emblematic space that complements the experience.
