General information
Event information
From August 21 to September 19, 2025
Exhibition Hall of the Museu del Còmic de la Massana
The exhibition “Key Women for the History of Andorra: Andorran Suffragettes” offers an artistic journey that vindicates the fundamental role of a group of Andorran women who fought for the achievement of women's right to vote. Through nine artistic pieces, the exhibition invites the viewer to make a critical and reflective reading of their contribution to social transformation and the configuration of the socio-cultural fabric of the country.
The exhibition transcends conventional artistic representation to become a true collective memory device. The works rescue silenced narratives and restore the historical place that corresponds to these pioneers of social change.
This discursive space for reflection and learning uses art as a tool to preserve and disseminate the historical memory of Andorra, while highlighting the legacy of women suffragettes and their decisive influence on today's society. Each piece is a unique expression of the artistic and personal vision of its authors.
The exhibition brings together the work of ten artists:
Naiara Escabias Oferil, Joana Baygual Pérez-Portabella,...
